Gateway Vista Intel Dual Core E2140, 2 GB RAM, 320 GB hard drive, 17 "Widescreen HD-inch LCD monitor, Canon All-in-one printer, and read / write dual-layer DVDs and CDs.
System 3: Tiger Direct: $ 460
Second Gateway, XP Media Center Edition, Intel Dual Core, 1GB memory, 200GB hard drive, monitor (we would need to buy), DVD ± RW Double Layer, Flash Media Reader Intel GMA950 graphics.
One last remark. I have an old HP inkjet-842 on my Windows ME. It is running Windows XP or Vista? Similarly, Canon would be my XP based on the work of the photo printer with Vista?

System 3 is not a bargain, to monitor not only lack, but 1 GB of RAM, and probably with an older Pentium D dual kernels are basically the least effective or most of the heat of the two hearts, in fact, ever. A PRO is that it has XP.
System 2 uses the low-end Core 2 chip stationed there. And since you can not overclock this type of prefabricated systems that overcome almost all AMD X2, 4000 + systems, especially, 4400 + and 5000 + seems to be all AMD.
Then stop the system 1 as the best. This is a 17 "flat screen LCD or CRT?
If the basics of PC (surfing, writing, music, downloads, photos, etc.)? If so, that's all.
But if you want to read or edit a large amount of digital video, I recommend building your own. Funny, is simple, and you will get better components for themselves (if not less) money, and most are a great 1-3 years warranty, far from the 90 days you will receive from HP / Dell / Gateway / etc
